But I'm a Good Boy

So until the baby comes, all I have to really talk about is our first baby, Louie. For those of you who don't know him, Louie is a pretty jumpy dog. Even more so now that I am pregnant, he is suddenly so protective of me, especially when the Rocher Chocolate commercial is on ( he is not a fan of the doorbell). It is a little known fact that Louie's famous trick is giving manicures to any one person willing to lend him their hand for a few minutes, we think it calms him. However, he has recently began to eat various places on his body, mainly his front leg. So last night, I attempted to play vet and put a bandage on so he would stop chewing and making himself bleed. Eric had the unfortunate job of holding him while I patched him up. Louie did not like this one bit and I had to reassure him he would get a "cookie" if he was a good boy. Meanwhile Eric is getting mad and telling me to hurry up because he can no longer hold him. I reassured him by saying if he was a good boy he could have a Reese Cup, which sparked uncontrollable laughter...I may have peed a little! I think you had to be there but here is the two of them sitting for their "cookies"!

Bless my husband and dog for being good sports for providing me with some humor!

6 Months and Counting

As Christmas quickly approaches, so does the size of my belly! We spent the day yesterday shopping and decorating our house for the holidays and we were both exhausted by the time this picture was taken. We always buy a real tree because Eric and I both feel so strongly against the fake, plastic one time buy kind. This is our beautiful tree for the year and my beautiful pregnant belly to match. Thank you to my husband who has been so understanding about my various levels of emotion, especially while putting up the tree.....I love you and you are a wonderful man.

Practice Makes Perfect

We made the trek to Chicago for Turkey Day and had the pleasure of spending two whole days with our cutie pie niece, Genevieve. Her Mom and Dad were there too, as well as Grandma, Grandpa and even Uncle Ryan graced us with his presence. I think this is partially due to the fact that Grandma purchased a Wii for the whole family to enjoy. I think my arm is still sore from all the bowling and tennis and a little Mario Kart. But we both got in some baby practice with Miss Genevieve, she especially liked it when Uncle Eric made noises with his mouth. This is a picture of the two of them taking a break from watching college football, but I think she is more interested in her duck!
